JUBILEE OF SCHOOL END OF CELEBRATIONS There was a big attendance at the Colac Bay School jubilee sports, but because of the weather part of the programme could not be held. Music was played by the Revellers’ Orchestra. Mr D. Wadsworth and Mr J. Cleaver were masters of ceremonies. Some of the former pupils present were:—Mesdames J. Harrington, and A. Robertson. The grand march was led off by the president of the jubilee, Mr G. Pearce, and Mrs F. Clode. FORMER PUPILS CONCERT The former pupils concert was held in the Drill Hall. The programme was as follows:—Bagpipe selection, D. Pearce; cornet solo, Elton Bergess; Irish jig, Misses Edna and Betty Cleaver and Reina Crengle; solo, Mr H. Bates; musical drill, present-day school boys; Maori action song, Colac Bay Maori party; mouth-organ solo, Mr P. Bates; pianoforte solo, Miss E. Burgess; chorus, Messrs H. Bates, P, Bates, R. Wixon and G. Belsham; tap dance, Miss Elta McGregor; single poi, Colac Bay Maori party; solo, Mr N. McPhee; Maori haka; chorus, school girls; pianoforte solo, Miss Stella Pearce; solo, Mr H. Bates; action song, Colac Bay Maori party; solo, Mr P. Bates; tap dance.

CHURCH PARADE The jubilee celebrations ended on Sunday, when a combined thanksgiving service was held. The Bishop of Ao-tea-roa (the Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett) preached the sermon. A big crowd attended the service. PERSONAL Guests at the Colac Bay hotel for the school jubilee included: Mr and Mrs Matheson (Nightcaps), Mr J. Schroderder (West Coast), Mr P. Driver, Mr Groves, Mrs Good, Mr and Mrs Blair, Mr N. Egerton, Mrs Matheson (Waikaka), Mi- L, Clode, Mr S. Clode, Mr N. McFee and Mr D. Brown.
