Opening Of Dunedin Meeting TOP ROW BEATS SPRINT FIELD (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, December 27. Heavy rain overnight did not greatly affect the track for the opening day of the Dunedin Jockey Club’s spring meeting yesterday and the going was in good order. The weather was fine but dull and the attendance excellent. The totalizator handled £23,121 for the day (win £9922, . place £13,199) as compared with £19,439 for the first day last year, an increase of £3682. Results were:—
