FAREWELL TO SCHOOL' TEACHER Before he left for Riverton, where he has been appointed to the staff of the Riverton District High School, Mr A. N. Murray was met by fellow members of the Nightcaps Cricket Club and presented with a gift. Mr Murray’s services, both as club captain and *?cretary, were praised by Messrs J. H. Grant and O. V. Berry. Mr Murray replied. PERSONAL Mr J. A. McPherson, who was recently transferred from the staff of the Nightcaps District High. School, -is spending the holidays at Alexandra. Mr W. Excell, jun., is at Queenstown. Mr C. Scott has left for a holiday at Fairlie. Mr L. Lloyd, Dunedin, is spending a holiday in Nightcaps. Mr A. Adams has gone to Stewart Island for the holidays. Mr H. Cliff has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mr J. O. Clapp is a visitor to Riverton for the centenary celebrations. Messrs J. Duncan, R. Cochrane, J. Spowart and R. Rutherford are to take part in the New Year bowling tournament at Invercargill. Mr M. McCoy has gone to Christchurch for the holidays.
