At the presentation of prizes and break-up picnic of the Motyoreta school, there was a big attendance of the public. The following children were presented with prizes:— Standard 6.—Alex Mcßae, dux. Class prizes: Douglas Taylor, Charles McKay, Rita Rolfe, Eric Rolfe. Standard s.—Class prizes: Annabel Carnie, Elaine Robinson, Jessie Henry, Gladys Anderson, Mavis Rolfe, Scott Robinson.

Standard 4.—Class prizes: Kathleen Carnie, Alan McCall, John Mcßae. Standard 3. —Frederick Anderson, Alister Carnie.

Standard I.—lvan Rolfe, Findlay Leckie, Joan Henry. Infants.—. John Anderson, Maureen Kerr, Hector Lackie, Peter Anderson, William Kerr, Colin Mcßae and Marjory Mcßae. Mr John Rissman presented £1 for prizes for the sports and Mrs Greenough five shillings in pennies for a scramble.

The results of the afternoon’s sports were as follows:—Standard 1: Findlay Leckie 1, Ivan Rolfe 2. Standards 3 and 4: Kathleen Carnie 1, Frederick Anderson 2, Alan McColl 3. Standards 5 and 6 boys: Charles McKay 1, Douglas Taylor 2, Scott Robinson 3. Standards 5 and 6 girls: Annabel Carnie 1, Rita Rolfe 2, Gladys Anderson 3. Young women’s race: Miss Moira Robinson 1, Misses M. and B. Carnie 2 eq, Miss M. Anderson 4. Married Women’s race: Mrs John Carnie 1, Mrs Thomas A. Robinson 2, Mrs George Anderson 3. Junior married women’s race: Mrs David L. Rhind 1, Mrs F. F. Leckie 2, Mrs W. Kerr 3. Special boys’ race: Alan McCall 1, Douglas Taylor 2, Alister Carnie 3.
