RIFLE SHOOTING

MOSSBURN DEFENCE CLUB The Mossbum Defence Rifle Club held its opening shoot under good conditions, except at the beginning, when a bright sun made visibility difficult. Near the finish a rather tricky wind affected the scores. Taken all round the shooting was of a fairly high standard, considering that many of those shooting had not been on a range before and others had only just received their rifles.

P. Mcßride won the trophy for the best aggregate over both ranges, his score being 64. J. Healy won the trophy for second highest aggregate with 63, a very good score. Following are the results:—
