WOMEN’S DIVISION
INVERCARGILL BRANCH At the monthly meeting of the Invercargill branch of the Southland executive of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union Mrs Macdonald presided. It was decided to supply the Karitane hospital with as many eggs as possible during the coming month. A report of the executive meeting was read by the secretary, and the president presented the quarterly report of the Dominion president.
An announcement was made that the dress-making classes would begin in the Invercargill area in the first week in February. It was decided to hold a meeting in January. There will be a competition for shortbread at that meeting. Mrs Fairweather won the competition fob the best bloom.
