Advice has been received by Columbia Pictures in New Zealand that all difficulties and litigation arising therefrom, between Columbia and Frank Capra have been completely and satisfactorily adjusted and that Mr Capra is back at work at the Columbia Studios. Frank Capra was responsible for such famous productions as “It Happened One Night,” “Mr Deeds Goes to Town” and “Lost Horizon.” Isa Miranda, lately arrived from Italy, will have Fred Mac Murray and George Rigaud, Argentine sensation from Paris, as her first leading men. Her picture will be “Lady of the Tropics,” about a Cuban cabaret singer in Vienna. The English actress Fay Compton, whose New Zealand tour will begin this month, played the leading part in “Wedding Group,” which comes to the Civic Theatre on December 31.
