DELAY OVER PACIFIC SHIPPING PLANS

REGRET EXPRESSED BY CHAIRMAN OF P. AND O.

LONDON, December 8.

Lord Craigmyle, in his address at the annual meeting of the P. and O. Company, of which he is chairman, said that he regretted that the Pacific shipping negotiations were not yet complete. i “It is most disappointing for all that so many years have passed, during which all the facts have been canvassed in public and thoroughly investigated by the Imperial Shipping Committee yet the matter is still held up,” he said. Lord Craigmyle proposes shortly to visit the company’s agencies in India, Australia and New Zealand.
