(H. L. Tapley and Co.). GENERAL NOTES The Union Company’s steamer Karepo arrived from Sydney early yesterday morning. She is discharging 500 tons of wheat and a quantity of dates (ex the Nadana) and other cargo and on completing work sails today for Dunedin. The Union Company’s steamer Poolta reached Bluff from Westport at 7.40 a.m. yesterday. She is discharging coal and is due to complete today and sail for Dunedin. J. G. Ward and Co., Ltd., agents for the City of Glasgow, advise that the vessel is now due at Bluff on December 16 from Dunedin and will sail again the same day for Auckland. Advice has been received by the Union Company that the Rangitiki sailed from Colon for London on the afternoon of December 7.

The Port Line motor-ship Port Jackson is reported to have cleared London last Friday for Suva, Dunedin and Lyttelton. She is due at Dunedin on January 10. Cabled advice has been received by the Federal Company that the Hertford cleared Dakar on December 2. She left Auckland

on October 29 for London, Avonmouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Montevideo and ■ Dakar. PERSONAL Captain T. V.
