DISPUTE AT LINTON MINE
A COMPLETE SETTLEMENT The dispute at the Linton coal mine over the dismissal of a trucker, who was reinstated pending an inquiry by the Central Disputes Committee, has been amicably settled without reference to the committee. Work was resumed at the mine on Wednesday after a strike lasting four working days. It had been intended to refer the dispute to the committee, whose decision was to be final, but this will not now be necessary.
