AMENDMENT TO MINING BILL PASSED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 8. The Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. An amendment to the Mining Amendment Bill which provides that the Crown is to be paid five per cent, of the goldfields revenue, instead of the 10 per cent, provided in the Bill, was agreed to and the Appropriation Bill was put through all its stages and passed. The Council adjourned at 2.50 o’clock.
