TOURISTS FROM SOUTH AFRICA
SHIPPING COMPANY’S PLANS CAPE TOWN, December 6. Australia and New Zealand will be brought within short travelling distance of Cape Town and should become prospective resorts for South Africans, and vice versa, according to the plans of the Shaw Savill and Albion Company. Mr Reymond Jones, assistant-manager of the company, who has arrived on a tour of inspection, stated that the new flagship would be completed in January 1939 The voyage from England to the Cape would take 14 days, from the Cape to Durban 42 hours, and from Durban to Fremantle nine days.
