FLOODS IN BULGARIA AND GREECE

VILLAGES INUNDATED AND LIVES LOST (Received December 7, 7.50 p.m.) ATHENS, December 7. Torrential rains have caused severe flooding in western Greece and Bulgaria. Twenty villages are inundated and several lives have been lost. Losses of stock are heavy. At Sofia heavy snow storms and rains caused serious floods which cut rail communications in several parts of Bulgaria. Three men perished in snow drifts on Rila mountain.

Widespread damage to winter crops is reported.
