An Essex Red Poll cow Tansor Kiora now 11 years old and belonging to Captain R. S. Hall, of Tendring, England, has produced with her eight calves 61 tons 6| cwts of milk, her last butterfat test being 4 per cent. This cow which has given 2000 gallons in her lactation has been awarded seven Ministry of Agriculture Certificates of Merit for regularity in breeding and consistency in milk production. Two of her progeny, Newhall Kiora which has won three Ministry of Agriculture Certificates, has averaged 10,5111bs for six years, while another of her daughters , Newhall Kiora 4th that has given 16,3271bs of milk in the year with a butterfat of 3.9 per cent, has averaged 13,0001bs for three years.
