FIRE AT COLAC BAY
HOUSE AND CONTENTS TOTALLY DESTROYED At 9 o’clock on Sunday morning a house at Colac Bay, owned by the State and occupied by Mr G. O. Wixon, was totally destroyed by fire. The outbreak occurred while Mr Wixon and his family were in the milking sheds, which are some distance from the house, and its cause is unknown. The house was insured, but the contents were not covered, and Mr Wixon’s loss will be heavy. Sympathy with the misfortune suffered by the Wixon family is being shown by residents of Colac Bay, who are organizing a concert and dance for their benefit on Friday evening.
