FREAK GOLFER’S HOPES DIMINISH
SMALLER PROSPECTS OF FORTUNE HOLLYWOOD, October 28. Owing to Hollywood’s fear of notoriety, the hopes of John Montague, the freak golfer who was acquitted on a robbery charge, of earning 1,000,000 dollars are diminishing. Shortly after announcing that he would be playing a role in Bing Crosby’s new picture, Paramount announced that it had cancelled the arrangement.
