Miss Jean Batten, who is making an attempt on the solo record from Australia to England, arrived at Rangoon at 4.36 p.m. (Burma time) from Alor Star, in the Straits Settlement. She will sleep at Rangoon. Miss Batten landed at Alor Star at 12.25 a.m. (Greenwich mean time) from Batavia, which she left at 2 a.m. (local time). She took off for Rangoon at 3.25 a.m. Miss Batten described her flight from Darwin to Batavia as fairly good.
