GERMAN AIR OFFICERS VISIT MILDENHALL

FAKE CRASH AND FIRE DRILL (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, October 19. The party of German Air Force officers visited Mildenhall aerodrome, where the members viewed representative aircraft of each of the squadrons participating in the fly past. Previous to the fly past a fake crash was set on fire, and a realistic rescue by a fire tender crew in asbestos suits and ambulance men was staged. The party later proceeded in an Air Council aeroplane to Cranwell, where they inspected the Royal Air Force College.
