When Jean Fenwick, young contract actress, volunteered to impersonate Greta Garbo to help with the testing of aspirants for the role of the Swedish star’s brother, she won for herself the most important role in her career. Stopped as she was leaving the studio for home, she was hurried into makeup and costume, and tested for the role of Marie Louise, bride of Napoleon, in “Marie Walewska,” and was assigned the part.
