The council of the Victorian Amateur Athletic Association has decided to grant the application of J. P. Metcalfe for recognition as a Victorian record of his high jump of 6ft 5 11-16 inches, made at the Victorian centenary international challenge meet on the Melbourne Cricket Ground on January 26, 1935.
