Christian Science Churches.—“ Matter” is the subject of the lesson-sermon in all churches of Christ, Scientist, tomorrow. The Golden Text is “Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the Lord your God.” (Leviticus 19:4). Among the citations which comprise the lesson-sermon are the following from the Bible: “Then answered the Jews and said unto Him, what sign showest Thou unto us, seeing that Thou doest these things? Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up” (John 2 18, 19). The lesson-sermon also contains the following passage from the Christian Science Textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy: “The resurrection of the great demonstrator of God’s power was the proof of his final triumph over body and matter, and gave full evidence of divine science—evidence so important to mortals.”
