Entries for the season’s competitions of the Southland Boys and Girls Clubs’ Association now total over 1100, four times as many as last year. This figure has not been equalled in recent years, 'the association’s activities for the season include four stock and seven crop competitions. Of these the most popular are calf-rearing and pet lambrearing in the stoch section and vegetable raising and flower growing in the crop section.
