JEWISH COUNTER TO MUEZZIN’S CALL
BLAST ON RAM’S HORN AT WAILING WALL (Received September 16, 6.30 p.m.) JERUSALEM, September 15. In disobedience of the regulations, and evading police searchers who expected the happening, a Jewish youth blew “The Day of Atonement” on a ram’s horn at prayers at the Wailing Wall during the three minutes’ silence for the Moslem muezzin’s call from the minaret. The worshippers were overjoyed, but the police surrounded and arrested the offender.
