PRISONERS SENTENCED IN WELLINGTON WELLINGTON, September 16. The following prisoners were senfenced by Mr Justice Smith in the Supreme Court today:— Thomas Joseph Kane, aged 28 years, a clerk, twelve charges of obtaining execution of a valuable security and one of theft, two years’ reformative detention. Peter McNicol, aged 24 years, a baker and labourer, breaking, entering and theft, nineteen charges, breaking and entering with intent to steal, five charges, attempted breaking and entering, one charge, three years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Frederick Walter McLennan, aged 33 years, a motor mechanic, obtaining goods valued at £BO 12/1 by false pretences, two years’ imprisonment with hard labour. Edwin Luce, aged 57 years, a dairy farmer, incest, one year’s imprisonment with hard labour. Henry Allan, aged 39 years, a salesman, theft, one year’s reformative detention. George Norman Farmsworth, aged 23 years; a labourer and salesman, false pretences, two years’ reformative detention.
