TARANAKI CHAMPIONSHIPS (United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, September 16. The Taranaki badminton championships concluded ionight. Results were: Men’s Singles.—Spedding beat D. Therkleson, 15-5, 15-3. Women’s Singles.—Miss Dempster (Waikato) beat Miss Wade (Auckland), 12-16, 11-6, 11-4. Men’s Doubles.—Shale and Dallimore (Auckland) beat Spedding and Little, 15-9, 15-4. Women’s Doubles.—Misses Wade and Dempster beat Misses McCarthy and Moore, 15-8, 15-7. Mixed Doubles.—Shale and Miss Wade beat Dallimore and Miss Dempster, 15-10, 15-5.
