DUEL LASTS 51 ROUNDS

HUNGARIAN ARGUMENT LEADS ' TO CHALLENGE BUDAPEST, August 23. What is believed to be the longest duel in history was fought by the chief engineer of Budapest (M. Zboropjaj) and Dr Prueler, a fencing expert. The duel lasted two and a-half hours. The duellists used , light cavalry sabres. Both were wounded early in the combat and again in the 12th round, when the seconds wanted to stop the fight, which continued until the 51st round, when it was declared ended because of the exhaustion of the duellists. The duel originated over an argument at a meeting.
