SCHOOL COMMITTEES
CONFERENCE OF NEW ZEALAND FEDERATION (United Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, August 24. The conference of the New Zealand Federation of School Committees’ Associations opened at New Plymouth tonight under the presidency of Mr W. G. Black (Palmerston North). An address was given by Professor J. Shelley, Director of Broadcasting, on the broad aspects of education. Indisposition prevented the Minister of Education (the Hon. P. Fraser) attending. The business sessions begin tomorrow.
