GENERAL NOTES The motor-vessel Tamatea' arrived from Milford Sound last night. Today she sails at 10.15 a.m. for Stewart Island and returns to Bluff this afternoon. The Shell Company’s motor-tanker Paua finished working yesterday afternoon and sailed at 3.10 p.m. to return to Wellington. After discharging and loading general cargo the Canterbury Shipping Company’s steamer Storm sailed for Dunedin shortly after 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. The City Line steamer City of Glasgow was expected to complete her Southland loading last night and sail for Wellington. The Union Steam Ship Company has received advice to the effect that the Rotorua arrived in London on the afternoon of August 22. Advice has been received by the Union Steam Ship Company that the Rangitane has radioed that she expects to arrive in Wellington today at 3 pm. The Shaw, Savili Company has received a wireless message from its motor-ship Waiwera, reporting that she expected to reach Opua at 9.30 pm. on August 21 to commence her Homeward loading. She left Brisbane at 5 pm. last Tuesday and has made a very smart passage. The Shaw, Savili Company has received a wireless message from its liner Arawa reporting that she has experienced remarkably fine weather and expects to reach Pitcairn Island on Sunday morning—all well oij. board. The Arawa left Auckland off August 14 for Southampton and Londdft via the Panama Canal.
