Tapley and Company advise that the Breeze is due at Bluff on Monday, June 21, from Wellington and will sail the same day for Dunedin and northern ports. The Union Steam Ship Company’s new freighter Kauri, which has been completing discharge of her South Australian cargo at Dunedin, is to arrive at Bluff today from Dunedin and will sail finally for Launceston and Adelaide. From Japan the O.S.K. Line motor-ship Melbourne Maru reached Auckland last Saturday morning. She is to discharge and load there and completes at Wellington, Dunedin and Lyttelton. The vessel is due at Dunedin on June 22, and is to clear Lyttelton finally on June 29 for Japanese ports. Cabled advice has been received that the Port Line steamer Port Denison cleared Halifax last Friday. She left Wellington on May 3 for New York, Boston, Halifax, Southampton, and London via the Panama Canal. The Shaw Savill Company has received cabled advice that its liner Arawa, from London, cleared Southampton last Friday for Auckland and Wellington via Curacao and the Panama Canal. She is due at Auckland on July 15. The Blue Star Line’s new motor-ship Melbourne Star is due at Dunedin today to complete discharge and commence Homeward loading. It is hoped to despatch her on June 21 for Bluff, Timaru, Wellington and Auckland to complete. J. E. Watson and Company advise that the vessel should arrive at Bluff on June 22. Two well-known Norwegian steamers, the Concordia and the Thelma, have been sold to Japan for more than £30,000 each. They were built in 1919 as the War Gaekwar and War Begum respectively.
