RED CROSS SOCIETY

At the monthly meeting of the executive of the Invercargill Red Cross Society there were present: Mesdames R. Henderson (president), F. Bartlett and A. Gray and Misses M. A. Hunter and E. Hanan.

Several applications for assistance were dealt with. The visiting committee reported having visited the Southland Hospital weekly. There were eight soldier patients. Complimentary tickets were supplied to the soldier patients by the Southland Football Association, the Southland Boxing Association and the Southland Wrestling Association. The secretary was, instructed to write and convey to Mr H. L. Cooper the society’s congratulations on his receiving a Coronation medal.
