RETURN OF POPULAR COMEDIAN
W. C. Fields has left the Las Emcimas Sanatorium and rented a house in Bel Air. This is one of the best pieces of news to reach Hollywood for a long time. It means that the comedian has definitely recovered from the illness which interrupted his picture career more than seven months ago and from which he was not expected to recover. It is the first time for a year that Fields has lived in a house and been without medical supervision. Fields is eager to get beiore the camera again, but has waived an important role in “The Big Broadcast of 1938” to devote all his time to scripting his next movie, “That Man’s Here Again.” Fields, who writes under the name of Charles Bogle, will be assisted by Jack Cunningham.
