GENERAL NOTES The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Rangitane finished her Southland loading for the English market and sailed shortly after midday for Lyttelton yesterday. The Union Company’s steamer Kar ®P° reached Bluff yesterday from Dunedin. After working general cargo she was expected to sail about midnight last night for WestP Union Company’s steamer Waimarino arrived from Dunedin yesterday. She is discharging and loading genera, cargo and is expected to complete on Monday ana sail to return to the north via Dunedin. The motor-vessel Tamate. left Bluff yesterday at 10.20 a.m. with passengers and general cargo for Milford Sound. The Federal Line steamer Northumberland has replaced the Hurunui. The Northumberland will leave Swansea on June 9 for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Picton. Cabled advice has been received by the Port Line that its motor-ship Port Fremantle reached Southampton last Saturday. She left Napier on March 13 for Southampton and London, via Cape Hom and Las Palmas. The Blue Star Line has received a wireless message from the Doric Star, en route from London, reporting that she expects to reach Auckland this evening. She will later complete discharge at Wellington, and is now due there on May 1. Completing discharge of her cargo of slag from Immingham and Antwerp at New Plymouth, the Shaw Savill and Albion motor-ship Coptic is due to return to Auckland to load on April 23. She will go from there to Wellington and Lyttelton, and she will leave Lyttelton for London on May 8.
