HEROISM PROVED BY SANCTIONS
CLAIM OF ITALIAN PEOPLE ROME, April 22. “Sanctions have proved the Italian people’s heroism,” declared Signor Mussolini when distributing medals and pensions to 1300 aged labourers on the occasion of Italy’s labour day. He added: “We have long known that Italians are the world’s most intelligent people. Now we know they are also the most courageous for they resisted, undaunted, 52 other nations.”
