THE BOOK CLUB
ANNE’S HOUSE OF DREAMS “Anne’s House of Dreams” is about the fifth of the Anne books. In this book Gilbert Blythe marries Anne, and they go to live in a tiny house near the sea. It has trees round it, and a spring running through the garden. This is the very house Anne had always dreamed of. Anne made four friends there, Captain Jim, a girl named Leslie, an elderly lady, and a young man who came to the district. After a long time he married Leslie. Anne had two little children, a girl and boy. The girl died when it was born, and I think this is the sadest part. The Anne books are among the best books I have read.
