Canton recently finished a bus strike which was something exceptional in the way of strikes. Passengers were not denied transport. Far from it—but the buses went extra, slowly. To compensate their leisurely progress, however, the conductor refused to take any fares.
A large pebble stopped Hitler’s car in Saiz recently, causing much confusion. When the hubbub had died down, an official took possession of the stone. It was carefully lifted from the mud and lovingly placed on a pedestal, where it remains as a monument to honour Hitler.
