Yugoslavia 9,200,000 Bulgaria 8,800,000 Greece 8,200,000 Algeria 5,800,000 Germany 3,900,000 Poland 2,800,000 Although the Empire total is slightly less than that of foreign countries the wool production of the Empire countries is very much in advance. The average weight of wool in many Central European countries is about 31b a head, or less than half of that in most British exporting countries.
