TRIBUTE TO BYRD
“LITTLE LEFT TO EXPLORE” NEW YORK, April 21. Dr Stefansson presented an Explorers’ Club medal to Rear-Admiral R. E. Byrd at a dinner which was attended by the world’s outstanding explorers, in token of his achievements in Arctic and Antarctic exploration. Sir Hubert Wilkins, who was toast master, commented that there was little left to explore, this being partly due to Rear-Admiral Byrd.
