TRAINING IN FLYING FOR GERMANS
NAZI CORPS FORMED BY DECREE LONDON, April 21. The Berlin correspondent of The Times says that Herr Hitler has issued a decree creating a Nazi flying corps, with the object of “keeping alive the German people’s aviation spirit, establishing a system of preparatory flying instruction before military service and unifying Germany’s manifold air sport activities.”
The decree simultaneously dissolves the German Air Sports Association.
TEST IN PHILOSOPHY FOR TENNIS PLAYERS
LONDON, April 21. The Berlin correspondent of The Daily Telegraph says the Reich League for Physical Exercises, which controls all sporting activities in Germany, has decreed that all members of tennis clubs from Davis Cup contests to “rabbits” must submit to the ordeal of a public examination in Nazi philosophy before May 3. Nobody who fails to pass will be permitted to participate in any tournament, irrespective of playing skill.
