N.Z. INSTITUTE OF SECRETARIES
ADDRESS TO SOUTHLAND CHAPTER “Should a Secretary Speak?” was the subject chosen by Mr E. A. Wallace for an address in the Tudor Lounge to members of the Southland Chapter of the Institute of Secretaries. Mr Wallace is the immediate past president of the institute and in his address he devoted a section to the art of speechwords and how to use them. There was a good attendance of members, who expressed appreciation of Mr Wallace’s address through Mr E. Abbey Jones. During the meeting the following resolutiqn, sponsored by the president of the Southland Chapter, Mr R. C. Cook, was carried: “That an expression of most sincere loyalty to the Throne be recorded from the members of the Southland Chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries and we earnestly pray that his Majesty King George VI be spared to long reign over us.”
