In the Magistrate’s Court this morning Noble Ritchie Callahan was fined £l5 for using his tobacconist premises as a gaming house, William Halsey Stewart £lO for assisting, and Henry Herbert Gillard £1 for being on the premises. The police said that Callahan admitted he was acting for a bookmaker and receiving 2/- in the £ on doubles and 1/- on straight bets. The Magistrate, Mr J. R.
