ROAD TRANSPORT OPERATORS
CONFERENCE OPENS (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 21. - One of the largest conferences of rqpd transport operators under licence in terms of the Transport Licensing Act was opened today, delegates attending from all parts of the Dominion. The chairman is Mr A. S. Bailey. In view of the expectation of a Ministerial announcement within 24 hours the conference postponed till tomorrow portion of its agenda dealing with the consequences and effects of the proposed acquisition of road services by the Railway Department. The conference proceeded to deal with matters affecting the conduct of area or feeder services.
