LEADER OF NEGRO SECT CHARGED
STABBING OF WHITE MAN (Received April 21, 7.15 p.m.) NEW YORK,' April 20. A general alarm has been circulated by the police for the arrest of Father Divine, the leader of a negro sect, on a charge of felonious assault. He disappeared shortly after a white man, allegedly a process server, was stabbed and beaten in Father Divine’s “kingdom.” Three other negroes have already been arrested on the same charge.
