During recent years designers have amused themselves by combining styles and stuffs that seemed quite out of harmony with one another beforehand. For example, ordinary gingham was used for lovely summer party dresses. Nor does the winter season lack surprises of this sort. There are formal evening gowns made of cloth, and thin dresses made of lace or net with a sports slip of velvet or lame! These simple lame frocks have a very smart effect, and are well suited to the modem sports-trained type of woman.
