TALE OF A SICK MOTHER
£3O RAISED BY FALSE PRETENCES
WELLINGTON, April 20.
With a tale of a sick mother, and one of a sick father, Harold Richardson Kerr, aged 34 years, a labourer, raised amounts totalling £3O 2/- at Petone, Lower Hutt, Nelson, Richmond, and Hope. He appeared today on a charge of false pretences, and was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment.
