A suggestion that observance of Anzac Day should be limited to a twominutes silence at 11 a.m. except when April 25 was a Sunday, was contained in a notice of motion submitted to tne executive of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association by Mr F. N. Buckley. The motion was that the annual general meeting should pass the suggestion on as a remit to the Dominion conference of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. "The motion must be accepted,” the secretaiy, Mr E. F. Willcox, said. “And I think it has ‘Buckley’s chance,’ ” said Mr J. S. Chisholm.
