An indication of the intense interest that is being taken, in ttye forthcoming issues of Coronation stamps is shown by the fact that a Christchurch stamp dealer has already sold 30,000 souvenir first day envelopes (says The Star-Sun, Christchurch). The demand for these envelopes has been so great that he has had to order supplies on three occasions, and it is likely that a fourth printing will be necessary. A number of other firms in the Dominion are also selling souvenir envelopes, and the total quantity sold must be considerably in excess of 30,000. The exceptional demand is due in some measure to the high prices realized for the Jubilee stamps immediately they were withdrawn from sale.
