The steam trawler Monica 11, recently acquired by the Stewart Island Canneries Company, arrived at Bluff yesterday afternoon from Westport. She will shortly join the local oystering fleet. The New Zealand Shipping Company s liner Ruahine is due to sail today for Port Chalmers. , , „ , , . The Government steamer Matai finished loading stores last evening and sailed for Wellington, via West Coast lighthouses. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Northumberland is to leave Swansea about June 9 for probably Wellington, Lyttelton and Picton. The steamer Tees left Lyttelton yesterday for Kaingaroa, Owhenga and Pitt Island to load for Lyttelton and Wellington. She Is due at Dunedin on April 28. . Neill and Company advise that the Brisbane Maru, from Japan, via northern ports, is not due at Dunedin until Wednesday morning to complete discharge and continue loading. She is to sail th? following day for Wellington, Napier and Auckland to complete. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Remuera left London on April 15 in ballast for Auckland. She is due at Auckland about May 17. Tlie New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Hororata. loading to Federal Agency, was due at Dunedin from Tokomaru Bay. She is to sail later for Timaru and Wellington to complete. The Rangitata, which left Wellington on April 6 for London, has reported that the weather has been moderate and that all on board are well.

To continue Homeward loading the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Ruahine is due at Dunedin today from Bluff. She will proceed later to New Plymouth and Wellington. To load cargo at Sydney for Wellington the Union Company’s intercolonial liner Marama left Wellington last Wednesday. She will not be carrying passengers. She is due back at Wellington toward the end of this week.

The Federal steamer Hertford reached Dunedin on Friday afternoon to continue Homeward loading. She is to sail finally from that port for London, Avonmouth, Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow, via Panama. The Federal steamer Cumberland, after discharging Liverpool cargo at Auckland and Wellington, will later complete discharge at Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. She is now due at Dunedin on April 27.

The Vacuum Oil Company advises that the tanker Yarraville is due at Dunedin about next Thursday to complete discharge of a cargo of petrol from Palembang. The Marine Department advises that the wireless fog signal at Cape Maria van Dieman has been temporarily discontinued. Further notice will be given when the service is resumed. Mariners are advised that Akers Point light, Stewart Island, is under repair and will be discontinued until further notice.

A total of 30,000 cases of apples will be included in the cargo of the vessel Hertford, which arrived at Dunedin on Friday to load for London and West Coast of England ports.
