Mr F. Walsh has returned to Invercargill after a holiday in Ceritral Otago. Mr Alfred C. Iggo has been appointed assistant master at the Gore school. He was formerly at the Orawia school.
Messrs R. T. Meredith and L. R. Lopdell will leave by the express this morning to represent the Southland Rugby Union at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union in Wellington. Mr Edmund Anscombe, head of the firm of E. Anscombe and Associates, Wellington was yesterday appointed architect for the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition. A probable assistant architect to Mr Anscombe may be appointed later, Two of the three representatives of the Pan-American Airways who remained in New Zealand when the survey Clipper left on her return flight to Honolulu, Mr A. Francis (operations manager and meteorologist) and Mr M. M. Thompson (engineer), leave Auck-, land by the Aorangi for Vancouver. The third member of the company s staff, Mr W. Turner Jarboe (radio operator) will remain here until he has trained the local operator in . the company’s routine —Press Association.
