James Truslow Adams will be editor-in-chief of the long-expected “Dictionary of American History,” which will be prepared with the cooperation of leading historical societies. It is expected that the work will be slightly less costly than the recently completed “Dictionary of American Biography,” on the preparation and publication of which more than 1,000,000 dollars was spent.
