WORKERS’ EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION

OPENING OF WINTER SESSION The literature class of the Workers’ Educational Association began its session last evening, when Mr I. L. Petrie presided over a good attendance. Mr S. G. August said that a programme of new plays would be read and the class would be continued on the lines of last year. “Lovers’ Leap,” a three-act comedy, was read by Misses A. Matheson and P. Lange, and Misses M. O’Toole, L. Robinson and G. Swift. Next Monday evening “Katie Roche,” a three-act Irish play, will be read.
